Questions
Is a mattress included?
No, it’s sold separately. Choose the mattress size that matches your bed size in the table above.
Can I add a headboard?
Yes. TRAKEN has no headboard of its own, so you can place it against a wall or pair it with a separate headboard.
Which height should I choose?
Option A (43cm) gives the most storage, 35.5cm deep. Option B (38cm) has 30.5cm and option C (33cm) has 25.5cm. Add your mattress thickness to get your bed height.
Open base or floor board?
An open base lets you clean the floor under the bed. A floor board closes the bottom of the storage, so things don’t sit on the floor.
How heavy can my mattress be?
For the lifts to work well: up to 35kg for Single, Super Single and Single (JP), up to 60kg for Queen and Semi Double (JP), and up to 80kg for King.
How much weight can the bed hold?
Up to 110kg for Single, Super Single and Single (JP), and up to 220kg for Queen, King, Semi Double (JP) and Double (JP), for normal sleeping use.
How do I use the storage safely?
Always use it with a mattress on the base. Don’t stand or jump on the bed board. Use the safety lock while you take things out.

Needed a storage bed with no backing and this fit the bill. As mentioned by another reviewer, most of these reviews are likely to be a week old so the long-term quality of the bed frame is uncertain. Nevertheless, I'm giving 5 stars as I'm quite happy with the purchase thus far.
Colour is a little darker (bought light grey super single) compared to the pictures. The delivery team came within their time slot and called 10min before arriving. Assembly was swift (10min) as this is a simple bed frame.
One thing to note is that since there's no backing, the mattress will slide down when the storage is fully opened. Looking at the pictures on the site, it seems there might be a way to overcome this problem but I'm not sure how yet. Until then, I will store things that I do not use often inside.
Also, I thought that it was strange that there's no platform for the base until I realized it's part of the design to facilitate cleaning. There are gaps between the frame perimeter and the floor and I used about 7 metres of clingwrap (costing a few cents) stuffed in between the floor and the frame from inside the storage space to try and seal the gaps to prevent any small insects from crawling in. Not having a base platform also means you can place very heavy items inside.1 Comment Thank you for your feedback! You already voted Sorry, we failed to record your vote. Thought this was a good and decent purchase but then again I’m not overly picky. One thing to note however, which I failed to realize before purchase, is that there isn’t a cover/platform at the base I.e. when you open your storage you will see your floor. Just a point to note in case it bothers you!Comment Thank you for your feedback! You already voted Sorry, we failed to record your vote. Pros:
Feels sturdy, lots of storage space. Able to store heavy items as there is no floorboard. Saves space without headboard. Heavy but possible to push.
Cons:
Bed frame slides forward every time I open and close the storage area. Some sides slightly misaligned/ not flushed. Frame might be high for shorter people.
Overall decent purchase.Comment Thank you for your feedback! You already voted Sorry, we failed to record your vote. Please try again - 15 people found the following review helpfulGood value storage bed frame

We got this bedframe because we wanted something without a headboard to increase the walking space in the room. Overall it is good, and it supports our relatively heavy Simmons King bed (about 80kg). The downside would be because of a lack of base board, the external frame structure tends to move when you shift it. Nevertheless, still a good purchase!Comment Thank you for your feedback!
